Budapest Hotel Info's reservation procedure is very simple. First fill in the Search Form on the Home Page then click Search for available Hotels and prices. Select your Hotel and click on the "Book now" button. Then you should choose the date of your check in. You will see our Hotel Reservation Form. Fill in the blanks on the "Customer Information" section. Be sure your personal data is spelled correctly!
After you have filled this section up you can select your desired room type. Select the date of your arrival, the room types and the number of nights. Check the total cost of your staying.
The "Requirements" section will allow you to request special amenities or needs from the Hotels. Budapest Hotel Info will respond to your special request within 24 hours.
After you fill out all requested information, click "Send Reservation".
This was only one way to reach Budapest Hotel Info's reservation field, but you can do that in several different ways. For example you can find the "Book Now" button under the following menu points: "All Hotels", "Hotels", "Hostels", "Pansions", "Apartments", "Spa Hotels", "Special Offers", and also under the result of your advanced search.

When do I have to include information about my credit card?

In some cases you will be required to submit information about your credit card -such as card number- at the time of booking. Most Hotels will not hold rooms without a credit card number. Your credit card will not be charged until you check out the hotel unless the type of room you selected states that a deposit is required, or if you don't show up at the Hotel without canceling your reservation on time. In this case the Hotels might charge the amount specified in the Terms & Conditions. Budapest Hotel Info recommend using a credit card to guarantee your reservation.

What credit card types are accepted for guarantee/deposit?

The card types accepted for guarantee or deposit will be listed in the information section of hotels, and also on the reservation forms.

How long will it take Budapest Hotel Info to respond to my reservation request?

In case of "Real Time confirmation" it will take about 5 minutes until we confirm with an email that your reservation was successful. You will receive a " Confirmation number" which should be kept and used with any future correspondence with Budapest Hotel Info.
In case of reservations upon request you will receive an email in 5 minutes stating that Budapest Hotel Info received your request. Then all reservations will be followed up with an email within 24 hours using the Reservation Number and, if available, a confirmation number.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can read the hotels description to determine the cancellation policy of your hotel. Also you will find the cancellation policy on the email confirmation sent to you by Budapest Hotel Info. The standard increments are you must cancel the room(s) by 4 or 6 PM, or 24, 48, or 72 hours prior to your specified arrival. If you cancel before this, generally you will not be charged a penalty. Canceling after this period will result in a cancellation penalty fee.

Have you got special discounts?

Most of the participating hotels in Hungary offer "Special Internet Rates" to our users. These rates offer substantial savings. Quoted rates may vary due to seasonal changes or special events. Due to the nature of hotel industry, rates and applicable discounts are constantly changing. You may check out Budapest Hotel Info's special discounts by clicking "Special offers" on our home page. These rates are even better than the "Special Internet Rates".

Is there a hotel shuttle service to/from the airport?

Many hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport. There may be a charge by the hotels for this service. Also there is an available "Hotels Transfer" service organized by Budapest Hotel Info. To avoid surprises it is recommended for you to arrange transfers to and from the Hotel prior to arrival. If you planning to do so please check out our "Hotel Transfer" menu-point on our main page.

When exactly is my credit card debited?

Your credit card will not be charged until you check out the hotel unless the type of room you selected states that a deposit is required, or if you don't show up at the Hotel without canceling your reservation on time. In this case the Hotels might charge the amount specified in our Terms & Conditions. We recommend using a credit card to guarantee your reservation.

How safe is to use my credit card?

Absolutely! Budapest Hotel Info has a correct procedure transferring and handling your credit card data. To ensure your security we utilize SSL secure commerce server that encrypts credit card numbers and encodes them into a non-usable form. Also we give you opportunity to send the required data via fax. After receiving your data we make your reservation with the Hotel, then we delete all credit card information on a daily basis. So we do not keep your card number longer than 24 hours! Also our server works behind an electronic firewall, so all datas we keep are perfectly safe.

In which cases the Hotel doesn't accept my credit card?

Your card type is not accepted at the hotel.
The card expiration date proceeds the reservation date.
You have reached your credit limit.
There is a computer error.

How much do I have to pay for using the Budapest Hotel Info service?

Using of Budapest Hotel Info hotel reservation service or search engine is FREE OF CHARGE AND THERE IS NO SERVICE FEE EITHER!

Are taxes included in the rate?

Taxes and miscellaneous charges are included in room rates. The rates what you can see next to the Hotels are exactly what you will have to pay for the Hotel.

Is the room rate per person or per night?

Room rate is per room per night. You will see room rates on the Hotel's page, and on the reservation page separated as follows: Single, Double, Twin, Triple, Suite.

What do the room categories mean?

Single room (A room with one bed for one person)
Double room (A room with two beds for two people)
Twin room (A room with one bed for two people)
Triple room (A room with three beds for three people)
Suite (A room for four people)

What is the reservation process after I'm submitting my reservation request?

In case you reserving a Hotel room with real time reservation, you can be sure your reservation is succesfull. You will recieve the " Confirmation number" via email right after you submit your reservation request which should be kept and used with any future correspondence with Budapest Hotel Info.
If you reserving a Hotel room "upon request" you will recieve a " Reservation number" via email right after you submit your reservation request which should be kept and used with any future correspondence with Budapest Hotel Info. In this case all reservations will be followed up with an email within 24 hours using the Reservation Number and, if available, a confirmation number.

I don't want to wait for 24 hours for confirmation. How can I check on my request?

One part of hotel reservations are made in real time and your confirmation should only take a few seconds. The other part of the reservations are made "Upon request". In this case, you will receive an email from us without a confirmation number. When we receive the confirmation number from the hotel, it will be emailed to you. If there is a special request we also respond to you via email. While we ask for your patience for 24 hours, it usually doesn't take that long. Will I recieve any written confirmation from the Hotel?

No. The email confirmation you receive from Budapest Hotel Info is all you will need. It displays your Budapest Hotel Info Reservation Number, the hotel information, rate, confirmation number, and the hotel's cancellation policy.

Is parking available? Free parking?

Most hotels offer free parking to their guests. This may be listed in the Hotels Information section.

Is it possible to be more then three adults in the room?

Most hotels allow additional adults to stay in the rooms, at a charge (usually between $5.00-$20.00 per person). Some hotels have a limit on how many people can stay in a room.

Can our children stay free?

Usually children under 12 years of age stay for free in their parent's room using the existing bedding. The age requirement differs depending on the hotel's policy. If you want to make sure please email us for information before you reserve a room.

What are the directions to the Hotel?

You will find two maps on the "Hotels description page" with the directions to the Hotels from certain landmarks or the airport.

Is breakfast included?

Many hotels offer free breakfast. Often this is a continental breakfast or sometimes just coffee and donuts. This should be listed on the "Hotels description page".

Can I specify where I would like my room located?

The hotels staff will do their best to accommodate special requests. We cannot guarantee room location because it is subject to availability.
